What we want

This website aims to offer a platform for trans people to tell their healthcare stories anonymously, to give voice to the community more safely and increase wider understanding about the realities that trans people face in accessing healthcare in order to live their lives fully. We aim to shine a light on the injustices that trans people face in their daily lives.​
We are calling for an end to the dangerous, gatekept, paternal, pathologizing model of care practiced in Ireland with years long waiting lists and hours long traumatic and intrusive psychiatric assessments and are calling for an informed consent model built on belief, trust and affirmation in the community.

Our Demands

  • Bodily autonomy and legal recognition for all Trans, Non-Binary, Gender Nonconforming & Intersex people
  • Disband the National Gender Service and end the gender identity clinic model of care
  • Informed consent healthcare in the community through our local GPs
  • HRT (hormone replacement therapy) access without the need for a Gender Dysphoria Diagnosis
  • Availability of telemedicine options for the community
  • An end to discrimination towards neurodivergent and disabled people accessing healthcare
  • An end to discrimination towards non-binary people accessing healthcare
  • An end to forced surgeries on intersex children
  • Access to fertility treatment on the public system
  • Access to laser hair removal and electrolysis on the public system
  • Access to gender affirming surgeries in Ireland on the public system including for people who do not wish to or cannot take HRT.
  • Proper resourced mental healthcare access for everyone
  • Legal recognition for all non-binary people, intersex people and trans people under 16
  • Banning conversion therapy on all LGBTQIA+ people
  • An end to the fictitious ‘Trans Debate’ culture war being stoked by mainstream media
  • Deplatforming of gender critical TERFs, transphobes and pathologizing clinicians​
